What do you dream about?
What are some of the things that you would really love to do or see in your lifetime?
noun, often attributive \ˈdrēm\
: a series of thoughts, visions, or feelings that happen during sleep
: an idea or vision that is created in your imagination and that is not real
: something that you have wanted very much to do, be, or have for a long time
You may think that your dreams are insignificant. You may think that it is useless to dream because you have experienced so much disappointment in your life.
The good news is that God knows us. God knows our heart’s desires. He is involved in every detail of our lives. He has also given us specific dreams and purpose for our lives.
What dreams have God given you for your life? What purposes are you pursuing? Write down at least 10.
There is no expiration date for your dreams. It doesn’t mean that you if you don’t see them happening now it won’t happen at all.
Sometimes they happen unexpected. Sometimes you work towards a specific date and time. The point is that we should keep dreaming.
“Hope big hope that will lead to great courage. Have great expectations.” – Danny Silk
Some days feel surreal to me. One such day was this past weekend when I unexpectedly and kind of unplanned realised one of my lifelong dreams: To stand on the snow covered French Alps.
Our lives are not necessarily lived on perpetual highs. Some days I find it hard to navigate the awesomeness and the challenges of living my dream, purpose and passion. It is quite an adventure that requires deepening trust in Jesus.
Still, what I’ve learned thus far is to: continue trusting God, continue to focus on Jesus, continue to focus on the love He has for me, continue to obey His voice, continue to follow the unknown path, continue to follow the purpose and passion He has planted in my heart, continue to pursue His presence above all because it is there that my heart finds courage to carry on in the face of tremendous challenges.
